Emergency Grease Blockage at Kent Restaurant

Introduction

This job involved an emergency late night call out to a commercial restaurant after a manhole became completely blocked with built up grease. Using high pressure jetting, we cleared the blockage fully and had the drainage system running properly again the same night, keeping disruption to the restaurant's operation to a minimum.

Project Overview

Commercial kitchens are one of the most common sources of serious grease blockages, and this job was no exception. The manhole serving the restaurant had become completely blocked, with grease and food waste built up to the point where drainage had stopped working entirely. Because a blocked manhole like this can quickly affect a working kitchen's ability to operate safely, we treated it as an emergency call out and attended the same night. Using high pressure jetting equipment, we broke down and cleared the full grease blockage, restoring proper flow through the system.

Before clearance, the manhole was completely blocked with a thick build up of grease and waste, with no drainage able to pass through at all. After jetting, the manhole and connecting pipework were running freely again, with the blockage fully cleared.
